DOWNTOWN

NORTH COAST HARBOR PLAYGROUND – tap here for a Google Map
This is downtown Cleveland’s first & ONLY playground that overlooks the lake & William G. Mather Steamship! There’s no direct address but if you head to North Coast Harbor (also for parking purposes), you’ll be sure to find it. You can also take a pic at one of the Cleveland script signs.

WEST SIDE

1. EDGEWATER PARK PLAYGROUND – tap here for a Google Map – Cleveland
This beautiful playground – The Lindsey Family Play Space – is that quintessential lakefront playground. It’s part of Edgewater Park at Lakefront Reservation. One of the Cleveland script signs is nearby with sweeping views of the Cleveland skyline or you can walk down to Lower Edgewater & visit the beach!

2. LAKEWOOD PARK PLAYGROUND – tap here for a Google Map – Lakewood
Lakewood Park Playground is an amazing playground in Lakewood right along Lake Erie. Catch some beautiful views at the solstice steps or walk along the lake path for skyline views at the northernmost part of the park.

3. ROCKY RIVER PARK PLAYGROUND – tap here for a Google Map – Rocky River
Besides the newer pirate ship themed playground, the view & scenery at this lakefront playground in Rocky River is what sets this one apart. Come for the playground, stay for a picnic at the lake. There is a restroom here as well.

4. HUNTINGTON RESERVATION PLAYGROUND – tap here for a Google Map – Bay Village
Karen’s Way Play Space in Huntington Reservation is a wonderful addition to the park! It incorporates an expansive nature-based design featuring a willow tunnel, slide, a playhouse + small stage, musical play components, two separate swing sets for ages 2-5 and ages 5-12, a water play feature and a 50-foot-long kid-friendly zipline. The swing set and zipline feature ADA inclusive seating. There are also parent + child swings here as well.

Great little playground in Avon Lake right on the lake with a nearby pier as well!

This little pirate ship playground is located right on the lake in Sheffield Lake! *there are no bathrooms here*

Nice playground right by the lake & there’s beach access here, too!

This newer playground is huge & beautiful!

9. NICKEL PLATE BEACH – tap here for a Google Map – Huron
This beach is beautiful & it has a playground right on the sand!

Playground right on the lake with beach access nearby as well.

EAST SIDE

There is a playground right by the beach here & there’s also one of the script signs!

Fully fenced in playground with both a smaller & larger structure along with swings (including a baby & me one!)

Very small playground here but it’s right on the lake!

5. FAIRPORT HARBOR LAKEFRONT PARK PLAYGROUND – tap here for a Google Map – Fairport Harbor

Located right on the sand, this is a perfect beach playground!

This playground is right near the lake but if you want a closer view, they just put in a new pier in 2024!
