September is filled with fun fall harvest events at Lake Metroparks.

First up, is Apple Harvest Weekend on 9/23 & 9/24.

Apple Harvest Weekend

Lake Metroparks Farmpark

September 23 & 24 • 9 am to 5 pm

Visit Lake Metroparks Farmpark for an apple-filled adventure at Apple Harvest Weekend presented by Playground World. Witness apple butter and cider making and engage in other traditional harvest activities. Apple slushies are available for purchase. Take a tour on the “Johnny Appleseed Trail” and through the apple orchard. Find your way through the twists and turns of the three-acre corn maze, see antique tractors, go for a horse- or tractor-drawn wagon ride, see farm animals and milk a cow!

Apple Harvest Weekend will be at Farmpark from 9 am to 5 pm on September 23 & 24 and is included in Farmpark admission ($7 – 9).

Farmpark members, children younger than two and active military and their families receive free admission.

Lake Metroparks Farmpark

September 30 & October 1 • 9 am to 5 pm

Lake Metroparks Farmpark invites visitors to go on a journey through time and witness the evolution of agricultural technology from animal-powered farming to the thunderous muscle cars of the past during Horsepower Weekend presented by Ken Ganley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat Painesville & Playground World.
 
On Saturday, we will focus on fieldwork as we showcase different implements and tractors. Visitors will have the opportunity to try their hands at plowing behind one of Farmpark’s beautiful draft teams! On Sunday, shift gears into high and enjoy Farmpark’s annual Car and Truck Show sponsored by D&S Automotive from noon to 4 pm, weather permitting. On both days, guests can watch majestic horses in the new outdoor riding ring and enjoy the antique tractor parade.
 
Throughout the weekend, take advantage of photo opportunities with Farmpark’s antique tractors and beautiful landscapes. Find your way through the twists and turns of the three-acre corn maze, enjoy fall activities and treat yourself to an apple slushie. While you’re there, visit farm animals, go for a wagon ride and participate in equine activities in the Arena.
 
Horsepower Weekend takes over Farmpark from 9 am to 5 pm on September 30 and October 1 and is included in Farmpark admission ($7 to $9). Farmpark members, children younger than two and active military and their families receive free admission.
