Free Fishing With Friends @ Walker Rd Park Reservoir

Join us this summer at Walker Road Park Reservoir for another year of our popular fishing program! Beginning June 15th, poles, bait and knowledgeable attendants will be available. Stop up once to give it a try or make it a part of your daily routine!
W/Th/F/Sat from 10:00AM – 2:00PM at Walker Road Park. Catch Bluegill, Bass and Catfish!
FOUR FLY FISHING FRIDAYS:
Try your hand at fly fishing with Firelands Fly Fishers 6/16, 6/23, 6/30 and 7/7. Rods, flies and instruction provided, casting from the shores.
AGE RESTRICTIONS:
-This program is designed for kids 15 and under (families encouraged!). Other ages may be accommodated but please check with the attendant.
-All youth under 18 must have a signed permission form completed during or prior to their first fishing experience with the Avon Lake Parks & Recreation Department.
-Children under 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person, 14 years old or older. Children under 6 years old need to have a responsible individual within arm’s reach at all times.
-Extreme weather may force this event to be cancelled, but light rain should not. Check Facebook for updates.
This program is made possible with the support of ODNR Division of Wildlife, the USFWS Wildlife & Sportfish Restoration Act and Erie Outfitters.
