Craft Corner: Fall Leaf Mobile - The Cleveland Moms

Looking for something to do on a cold day? This is an easy craft and you can use scraps and leftover craft supplies!

All you need for this cute decoration is:

  • some ribbon
  • fishing line or string
  • a jar lid (just the ring)
  • beads
  • fabric leaves
  • hole puncher

Start by punching holes in the tops of your leaves. Then cut the string at various lengths. You can make as many as you want but 4 is good. Tie the string to the leaves. Then add your beads in whatever pattern and amounts you want. Once you’ve completed your strands, tie them to the jar lid. Then tie a ribbon to the lid for hanging.

This is a great project for kids because it engages fine motor skills and it also incorporates math skills like patterns and counting.  Have fun!
