So many of you were surprised to see this travel tip on Instagram when I shared about it to my stories on our first trip of 2023 so I figured it’d be a good idea to share here on the site, too!
If you don’t have unlimited data like me on your phone, mobile wi-fi hotspots are a lifesaver especially while traveling! I’ve also checked these out when the internet goes out for long periods of time or even power especially if you work from home & have things to do!
These are absolutely FREE from your local library & from what I’ve seen, many libraries let you borrow it for 3 weeks at a time! Connecting to it is super easy so if you’re taking a road trip any time soon, I highly recommend checking one out so you have entertainment in the car for the ride! You’ll just need a library card.
Not all libraries offer this so I’d call your local library first to see if they do. Those that do are often have them behind the counter so you can just ask someone at the front desk that you’d like to check out a hotspot & they’ll get you set up. I’d also recommend calling ahead *just* in case they may be out which happens on occasion.

& as a reminder, as a resident of Ohio you can get a library card from ANY library. There are no residency restrictions besides being an Ohio resident!
