Pump Tracks Around Cleveland - The Cleveland Moms

Pump tracks are a great way to burn off some energy for kiddos that love to be on wheels. I’ve rounded up a few tracks around Cleveland so you can check these locations out for yourself!

WHAT IS A PUMP TRACK?

A pump track is a small, looping trail system that you can ride a bike or anything else with wheels continuously without pedaling or pushing.

IS THIS KID FRIENDLY?

Depends on the kid! Pump tracks are a fun & unique way to get kids to play & exercise outside but it does take a level of skill. Pump tracks can be good for those that ride balance bikes, pedal bikes, or anything else with wheels. Some courses may be advanced & attract adult riders. I would recommend visiting early in the day for a better chance of exploring it safely or visit a location that has beginner/tot tracks.

IS IT FREE?

The handful that are around Cleveland are indeed free. They are usually incorporated into a local park & available to all.

IS THIS ONLY FOR BIKES?

Nope! If your kiddo prefers a scooter like mine, they can also enjoy a pump track – skateboarders & roller bladers, too!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Bikes, scooters, or skateboards of course & don’t forget helmets!
