For families seeking an educational environment where their child is truly understood and empowered, JB offers a compassionate approach to learning at four campuses throughout Northeast Ohio โ€“ Akron, Brecksville, Lyndhurst and Westlake.

Every Julie Billiart School student is unique and there is no specific set of characteristics of the typical JB student. We serve students with mild to moderate autism, ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, executive function disorders, and other learning differences.

What Makes Julie Billiart Schools Unique?
Focused Instruction: Highly trained educators in evidence-based curriculum and strategies.

  • Each class is led by two intervention specialists

Small Classes: This ensures that each child receives the attention and tailored instruction they need to succeed.

  • Maximum student-to-staff ratio of 8-to-1 for grades 3-8 and 6-to-1 for K-2.

Onsite Support: Additional staff to create a truly personalized learning experience

  • Therapies: art, music, speech and occupational
  • Additional Supports: Board Certified Behavior Specialist (BCBA), Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), school counselor and literacy specialist

Begindergarten: Coming Fall 2025

  • Kindergarten readiness program (must be five years old by Aug. 1)
  • Designed to bridge the gap between preschool and kindergarten
  • Build essential skills to successfully transition to a JB kindergarten classroom or one that best fits their needs

A private school rooted in the Sisters of Notre Dame, Julie Billiart Schools seek to keep tuition and fees as low as possible to make our education feasible for all families. All students receive either the Ohio Autism Scholarship or Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship and we offer additional need-based financial aid. To be considered for admission to any of our campuses, each child will need an Evaluation Team Report (ETR) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) from their home school district or Autism Education Plan (AEP) and Autism Diagnosis.
