Cuyahoga Parents Connect is not just an online community, it’s a lifeline that ensures that no one navigates the challenges of raising the next generation alone.
Cuyahoga Parents Connect was born from a Facebook group for parents enrolled in Parents as Teachers at Bright Beginnings. Parents as Teachers is a home visiting program that supports parents as their childโs earliest and best teacher and helps children grow, learn and reach their full potential. Cuyahoga Parents Connect has evolved into a community of families throughout Cuyahoga County, catering specifically to expecting parents and families with children birth through kindergarten.
Cuyahoga Parents Connect is a support system offering exchange of parenting ideas, child development information,ย access to vital resources, engaging giveaways, and a hub for local event information. Members don’t just interact virtually; they seize the opportunity to forge real-life connections through regular in-person meet-ups, creating a tangible sense of community.
A spectrum of topics are addressed on Cuyahoga Parents Connect, including potty training, picky eaters, and bedtime routines. Celebratory moments find a place too, with parents encouraged to share their weekend family adventures, parenting wins and engagement in themed discussions like ‘Talk It Out’ Tuesday. Weekend family friendly events are shared via the Cuyahoga Parents Connect community calendar.
Cuyahoga Parents Connect isn’t just a standalone entity,ย it’s an integral part of Bright Beginnings, arguably most known for connecting parents to the Help Me Grow System of Supports, including Early Intervention and home visiting programs. As part of the Bright Beginningsโ Parent Support Department, Cuyahoga Parents Connect interacts with other impactful programs like Parents as Teachers, the Parent Support Lead Program, the Triple P Positive Parenting Program, and Fatherhood Resources.
Supported by the Cuyahoga County Office of Early Childhood/Invest in Children, Cuyahoga Parents Connect extends an invitation to join this supportive community.
