Local Charter School Spotlight: Albert Einstein Academy of Ohio - The Cleveland Moms

Albert Einstein Academy of Ohio is dedicated to creating an environment where students are supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed. For 13 years, we have served students across Northeast Ohio by providing a supportive, small-school environment at two campus locations: Strongsville (grades Kโ€“12) and Lakewood (grades 6โ€“12). We believe every student has the capacity to learn, grow, and be challenged to reach their fullest potential.

Meeting Students Needs:
We recognize that families choose public charter schools for many different reasons, whether itโ€™s a desire for a safe and supportive environment, smaller class sizes, specialized academic needs, or a transition from homeschooling. Our goal is to make that choice easier by offering a rigorous, state-aligned curriculum taught by fully-licensed teachers, designed to meet students where they are and challenge them to reach their full potential across all academic areas.

We provide comprehensive support services, including Special Education resources such as a school psychologist, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech services. Interventions for students with disabilities are driven by data and evidence based practices. Students also benefit from counseling services, canine therapy, and enrichment opportunities in art, music, and physical education. Each campus fosters a positive school culture through a clear set of behavioral expectations guided by its PBIS framework.

To ensure we are consistently meeting the needs of our students, we regularly review student data and make instructional decisions based on data collected. In addition, every student engages in career and college planning with staff, targeting the middle school and high school students, culminating in a Senior Seminar course that prepares them for success beyond graduation.

We continuously encourage and foster parent participation in their child’s education. We host parent engagement nights, provide opportunities for parents to gain more information regarding state initiatives, holiday/seasonal events, and student led concerts hosted by our music department.

Student Success:
AEA graduates leave prepared for success, whether their next step is college, career, military, or the skilled trades. Our alumni pursue a variety of pathways, including attending Tri-C or LCCC to earn an associate degree before transferring to a four-year university, enrolling directly in four-year colleges, or entering apprenticeships and the workforce in high-demand skilled professions immediately after high school.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in College Credit Plus (CCP) courses, allowing them to earn college credits while still in high school and get a strong head start on their postsecondary journey.
