Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery on June 19, 1865 – the day when all African Americans were freed from slavery. Set to take place on Friday, June 16 with a Block Party, Trunk Show and Fireworks finale from 6:00pm – 10:00pm; then continuing on Saturday, June 17 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on Mall C in the heart of Downtown Cleveland, the city-wide, family-friendly celebration and commemoration of Juneteenth is one you don’t want to miss.
