Hope Soars Ohio @ Crocker Park
An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating until May 16, 2022
Hope Soars Ohio is a creative marketing campaign developed by the Beachwood High School Marketing/Junior Achievement students to inspire hope and uplift our local and global communities through a pop art installation featuring five 15-20’ tall inflatable butterflies that reminds our community that we have the power to transform the world into a more positive place. Butterflies are a symbol of rebirth, hope and transformation.
In addition to the inflatable butterflies, a 10’H x 15’W inflatable backdrop provides a colorful scene for photographs. Each location will have 350 die-cut signs that represent the project and visitors are encouraged to take the yard signs home with them to continue to spread HOPE.
Hope Soars Ohio kicked off at the Cleveland Cavaliers v. Los Angeles Clippers game on Monday, March 14th at Rocket Mortgage Field House.
Beachwood High School Marketing/Junior Achievement is an Excel TECC program that inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy. Each year the group creates an out-of-the-box, nationally recognized program that provides students with real-world business experiences and draws in the community with its experiential events.
This year’s project builds off what the class accomplished in 2021; Hope Blooms Ohio raised over $40,000 for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and featured giant inflatable flowers in various locations around Northeast Ohio.
The Hope Soars Ohio campaign tagline is “Fly Forward Together” which encapsulates both the metamorphosis of butterflies and the students’ hope that the community will unite as the pandemic wanes.
The marketing students worked with David Scherba of Inflatable Images who manufactured the butterflies, and Sean Higgins of The Bubble Process to design the butterflies and the logo.
The class continues to raise awareness and funds to diminish food insecurity with a minimum goal of $40,000 for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Donations can be made at hopesoarsohio.com/home/donate. Hope Soars Ohio apparel is for sale at hopesoarsohio.com/home/shop and a portion of the apparel proceeds will benefit the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
“Hope Soars mission is to help with this food insecurity in Northeast Ohio and to inspire hope in all communities across the world through times of strife and disease. As we battle both COVID- 19 and the recent conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Hope Soars believes that our campaign can help uplift millions through our message of positivity in times of discord,” said Gregory Siambo, a member of the class’s sales team.
